A Lifelong Love Affair with Sarees
Growing up in India, I was enchanted by the elegance of sarees. As a young girl, I would dress my dolls in intricate fabrics and designs, sparking a passion that only grew stronger with time. Every occasion was an opportunity to wear a saree and bask in the compliments that followed. My love for sarees, organically lead me to helping others drape them to perfection, at several occasions. With my family grown and flourishing, I’m now ready to turn my passion into a purpose. When I’m not draping sarees, I’m a full-time Realtor in Michigan, dedicated to helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership. The time is now, and we’re fully ready to share our love for sarees with the world. – Mainaki Chhaya
Born and raised in India, it was natural to develop a love for sarees. When I was young and lived in the southern region, the bright vivid colors of ‘pattu’ (Kanjivaram) sarees always caught my attention. I was eagerly looking forward to when I could wear my own or even dip into my mom’s closet for every special occasion! In college, I had roommates who shared the same admiration. We enjoyed exchanging sarees from our limited supply and surprisingly, enjoyed draping them on each other. There onwards, opportunities to wear sarees and help others drape them elegantly, continued to present themselves, and am now ready to bring this expertise to a bigger audience! – Meera Chhaya
Together, we’re not just saree enthusiasts, but people persons, driven by a desire to bring joy to others. Our goal is simple: to make every person who wears a saree feel confident, beautiful, and happy.
